What a weekend it was for the 3rd Grade Men.

After 13 rounds, almost 1000 kms travelled on road trips to games in Goulburn, Yass, Murrumbateman, Cootamundra & Cooma, a win was finally found - and what a win it was!

A great 1st half saw our boys take a lead of 21 points into the main break. Cooma came back hard in the 3rd quarter kicking 5 goals to give them a handy lead at the 3 quarter time break. The BMFC boys lifted and kept Cooma scoreless in the final quarter, winning their 1st game of the season by 3 points in a nail biter.

The Rising Stars Men had a great win on Friday night against Eastlake. It was a tough game and the Men lead at each break. Another great last quarter saw them kick away to secure the win and secure top spot on the ladder. The final 2 games of the home and away season are against Ainslie and Queanbeyan, both tough games, but if this group continues to play the way they have been they should finish the season on a high.

It was a hard round for the 1st and 2nd Grade Men’s and Women’s teams at Queanbeyan. The results did not fall the way players, coaches and supporters would have liked, but these teams are up for the challenge and there will no doubt be a renewed energy and focus for a home game against Ainslie.
