Belconnen Magpies Football Club
The Belconnen Magpies is a proud Australian rules football club with a rich history, established in 1986 as an amalgamation of the Belconnen Football Club and West Canberra Football Club. Situated in Kippax, the club competes in the AFL Canberra grade competition in six senior grades. The club is strongly tied to two junior feeder clubs that field sides for boys and girls of all ages through.
Belconnen strives for on-field success whilst emphasising the value that off-field involvement can have in the lives of our members. Aside from a strong history of on-field success, we are a welcoming, diverse community of players, volunteers, members, supporters and sponsors.

The club is coming off a successful 2022 season that saw our reserves win the premiership, first grade men fall within a goal of a grand final victory, and our first grade women playing finals.
2023 promises to be an exciting season, building on the successes of last year with the addition of new players and a returning coaching contingent. Coaches James Bennett of the first grade men, Paul Netting of the first grade women and Lachie O'Sullivan of the second grade men will lead their sides who are respective premiership contenders. We will again be fielding teams in the first and second grade men's and women's, men's regional, and men's and women's Rising stars competitions - prospective players can now register online. The Belconnen Cats Junior AFL Club is our feeder club based in East Belconnen with teams from under 8s to under 17s and an Auskick Rookie program for younger kids.
