RESET & READY FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!

Our teams were at home over the weekend and it was great to see them back to their winning ways.

It was another week and another debutant for the the 1st Grade Mens team with Leigh McKay becoming player 638 to make his debut and he certainly enjoyed the day by kicking 5 goals in a percentage boosting win for the team.

The 1st Grade Women's team had their biggest win ever with a 143 point victory. The Women played a seamless game and showed their skill, grace and good sportsmanship. Great game ladies!

The Rising Stars Men also celebrated a good win in their game against Marist at the Nest. They have had a good season so far and it will be great to see what is yet to come.

It was a case of almost for the 3rd Grade Men with a narrow loss. The boys almost got the win with a great last quarter but it just wasn’t too be.

Player Profiles

You asked, and we’ve delivered. Each week we will be asking some questions of players so we can all find out a little bit more about them when they aren’t tearing up the Nest in the Black, White & Teal. This week we hear from Tash McKay and Doc Jones.

NATASHA ‘TASHO’ MCKAY - Part of the first women's premiership team for Belconnen. Tash was also part of the very first youth girls team for Magpies Juniors and leads by example on and off the field. Has a booming kick and look out if she tackles you!

ALEXANDER ‘DOC’ JONES - Premiership player, spiritual leader and all-round great guy! Has played 100 1st grade games and gets better with every ruck tap! Doc came to BMFC from Narooma but we like to think he bleeds black, white and teal!

Photo Gallery

Week after week Stacey Green provides us with amazing photos of the BMFC games. It’s proving to be the thing that we all love to take a look at. The images never disappoint and this week was no exception. Stacey has captured some incredible action shots from the 1st Grade Womens and the Rising Stars Mens games at the Nest. Thanks again Stacey.

After the Game …

The awards will again be held at the Burns Club following the games against Eastlake. We've got 6 of our teams playing at home this weekend and we want to see as many people as we can.

Following the 1st Grade Women's and Men's home games, coaches from both clubs will recognise the best player from the opposition. This week, Eastlake will be invited to join us in the Nest's function room.
